...The building is located not far from the historic center, in Contrada “Pregiagna” about 1 km. from the historical center of Corinaldo and is easily accessible by car and bus.
The small country house built of bricks is two-storey. On the ground floor, a room still preserves elements of the original stable, while where the cellar was located there is now a small chapel dedicated to Santa Maria Goretti.
On the upper floor are the dining room, with a large fireplace in a central position, and two other rooms, modest but dignified, all characterized by the wooden ceiling. In the room on the right is preserved the frame that Assunta used for weaving, as it was used at that time for women. The one on the left is the room of Luigi Goretti and Assunta Carlini. It was here that “Marietta” was born on October 16, 1890, as they used to call her in their family. In this room are preserved original furniture of the Goretti family, including the bed and the painting donated by Mamma Assunta to Marietta.
